New audition show, The Voice, has reportedly broken BBC records for the most requested show on its iPlayer catch-up service. According to reports, the show gained over 746,000 views during a 24 hour period, beating previous record holder Sherlock’s 623,000 views in a day.
The BBC will be airing the first episode in the live results phase of the show this weekend. With special guest performances from Lana Del Rey (April 29), and Emeli Sande (May 6) scheduled to appear, the show appears determined to cement its new position at the top of reality audition TV.
Bad news for Simon Cowell, who has reportedly already been forced to move his competing show Britain’s Got Talent back by 30 minutes in order to avoid a time clash.
