According to reports, Britney Spears has now reached an agreement with Simon Cowell to become a new judge for the next series of X Factor US. Nothing has been released officially, however E!-Online describes how the agreement follows lengthy negotiations, in which “Both camps were back and forth on the money but now they have finally come to agreement on the fee… That was the big sticking point and now, thankfully, it’s been sorted. All they need to do now is work out the smaller points.”
According to E!-Online, the 30 year old singer is set to become the highest paid judge on reality TV, earning a staggering $15m a year, $3m more than American Idol judge Jennifer Lopez. If a contract is signed, the singer will fill one of two vacancies created by previous judges Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger.
