American video-sharing social networking service Triller has settled one of its many ongoing lawsuits with music producers Swizz Beatz and Timbaland.
Producers Swizz Beatz and Timbaland, who are the founders of Verzuz, sued the American video sharing network for 28 million in damages plus interest, over an alleged breach of contract. Other artists, including American singer/ rapper Diddy have since stated that they will not work with Triller until the disputes were dealt with.
Last week, the music producers announced that the parties had come to an agreed settlement amount which will entitle Swizz Beatz and Timabaland an increased ownership of stakes in comparison to their original deal.
In a statement, Swizz Beatz and Timbaland said: “We’re glad to come to an amicable agreement with Triller and continue giving fans the music and community that they’ve come to know and love from the brand”.
But this isn’t the first time Triller have landed themselves in hot water. In February last year, Music Group Universal accused Triller of withholding payments from artists whilst just last month, Sony Music sued Triller for millions of dollars over a copyright infringement claim.
